Delete your StrayFinder account
You can request deletion of your StrayFinder account and associated data whether or not you currently have access to the app.
Delete in the app
- Open StrayFinder and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Data & Privacy and select Delete account.
- Review the warning and confirm deletion.
Request deletion by email
Email us from the address registered to your StrayFinder account. Use the subject “Delete my StrayFinder account.” We may ask you to verify account ownership before acting so another person cannot delete your account.
What is deleted
Deletion removes or anonymizes your Firebase Authentication account and associated profile, posts, uploaded photos, saved posts, conversations and messages, notification tokens, reports, and feedback. Local app data can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.
What may be retained
Limited records may be retained only where reasonably necessary for security, fraud and abuse prevention, dispute resolution, backup integrity, or legal obligations. Residual backup copies are isolated from normal use and expire through the backup lifecycle. Data that must be retained is no longer used for advertising.
